Kendrick Lamar scores highest hot 100 debut for a rap song since 2010 with ‘Humble’

KENDRICK LAMAR has the right to be anything but humble following news that the lead single from his upcoming fourth studio album hit the No.2 spot in the charts.

It is his highest debut ever on the Billboard Hot 100, the highest charting single as a lead artist of his career and his fourth top 10 appearance.

The song came in at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs and On-Demand Streaming Songs charts, scoring 49.8 million streams and 49.8 million on-demand streams, Billboard reports.

‘Humble’ is also the highest-charting debut for a rap single in nearly seven years, following Eminem’s ‘Love the Way You Lie,’ featuring Rihanna, in 2010.

Humble” is the first single released from Lamar’s as-yet-untitled album. The album, which is set to be released on April 14.
