Beyoncé supports mother’s mentorship group for young girls with visit to Alvin Ailey Theater show

BEYONCÉ MADE the day of a lucky group of young girls recently when she attended an Alvin Ailey Theater show in Los Angeles with her mother’s mentorship group, Tina’s Angels.

“Backstage after the Alvin Ailey dancers performance it was magnificent,” mum Tina captioneda group photo on Instagram. “With my beautiful Tina’s Angels and with a few of the mentors. My very gracious daughter who met the girls and spent some time with them and made their day!”

Tina’s Angels is a mentorship group run in conjunction with Tina and husband Richard Lawson’s non-profit venture, WACO Theater Center.

Beyoncé, who is pregnant with twins, was also present for another group photo with the dance show’s ensemble cast, which Tina captioned, “The Alvin Ailey Dancers were spectacular!! My Angels , and the gorgeous Dancers And Beyonce after the show.”

Alvin Ailey was an African-American choreographerand activist who founded the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City.

He is credited with popularizing modern dance and revolutionising African-American participation in 20th-century concert dance.
