THE COMPANY behind a hosiery and lingerie line for women of colour will launch a footwear collection next week.
Nubian Skin, founded by award-winning British entrepreneur Ade Hassan, announced the news on social media this week with a sneak peak of both heels a flats.
“Five days to go #comingsoon #nubianskin #RedefiningNude,” the company teased on Twitter with an image of the new products.
After only a few years in business, Ade’s brainchild has been endorsed by the likes of Scandal star Kerry Washington and Beyoncé, who wore the nude lingerie on her Formation Tour.
The products stocked in a number of stores in the UK, including high-end stir Fenwick, as well as two in Portugal and 21 stores in the US.
Ade got the idea for Nubian Skin while sitting at her desk at her former job, which she described as a “corporate environment”.
The 32-year-old has gone on to build a powerhouse brand, which has also seen her win Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2015.
