THE SON of British boxing champ Chris Eubank Sr has won the IBO super-middleweight title.
Chris Eubank Jr secured the win with a 10th-round stoppage of Australian Renold Quinlan.
The 27-year-old British fighter secured his 24th victory from 25 fights.
“Now I am a world champion, I have my ticket to challenge the rest of the super middleweights,” Chris Jr said after the fight.
He then took to social media to show off his belt, writing: “AND the new IBO World Champion.”
His win means it is the first time a father and son have won world titles.
Chris Sr won his first world title back in 1990 when he defeated Nigel Benn as a 24-year-old and by the time he had reached 27, he had defended the world title 11 times.
