BLUE IVY Carter may only be five, but she has already started building her business empire.
The daughter of music powerhouses Beyoncé and Jay Z is to launch her own beauty line, it has been reported.
According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office database, mother Beyoncé has applied to trademark her daughter’s name to be used for everything from fragrances to hair care to entertainment services including “in the nature of live musical performances; production of motion picture films [and] fan clubs.”
Bey and Jay famously tried to trademark just the name Blue Ivy (no Carter) shortly after their daughter was born in 2012; however, a judge ruled that a Boston wedding planner had ownership of the name. Their patent on Blue Ivy Carter is currently pending.
There is no official word as to what Blue Ivy’s cosmetics line will consist of, but the TMZ report focuses on fragrances.
It could include hair care, cosmetics, and more, potentially aimed at the children’s market.
