BRITISH ACTOR Ashley Thomas only wanted one person by his side when he walked the red carpet at the premiere of 24: Legacy; his mother.

The nortwest London actor and rapper, also known as Bashy, flew his mother to NYC for the premiere of the series, a reboot of the Emmy Award- winning series, 24, of which he stars alongside Straight Outta Compton actor, Corey Hawkins.

Ashley takes on the role of Issac Carter, the older brother of series led Eric, a role played by Corey.

“Isaac is angry at Eric regarding their bitter past, which includes Eric now married to Isaac’s former girlfriend, Nicole, played by Senegalese actress, Anna Diop,” Deadline reported at the time.

Posting a picture holding his mother’s hand on board an aircraft back to his Atlanta home, Ashley wrote: “Holding this hand on my flight back from New York to ATL meant everything to me.

“The whole reason why I’m acting is sitting right next to me. She took me to the theatre all the time and encouraged me to follow my passion from since I was five years old, every single step of the way supporting and believing in me when sometimes I didn’t believe in myself.”
