A HIT online talkshow, which has been dubbed ‘the UK’s answer to The Real’, will host a live show in London this weekend.
Heels Off, which first appeared on the web as a pilot project last year, has gone on to celebrate 100,000 collective views on the back of its 12-15 minute episodes that include debating, specials guests and contributions from prolific YouTubers.
Hosted by actress and salon owner Rita Balogun, stylist Amina Habeeb, social media expert Mercedes Benson, radio host and designer Ashley Watt and sex and relationships writer Oloni, the stellar line up of five black women each carving their own career paths makes for compelling viewing when discussing a range of topics.
Executive Producer and Director Josh Bridge told The Voice: “I wanted to see something reflective of the best women I have in my life. Strong, smart and goal-orientated. Each panellist brings something unique to the table.”
Following a second successful season, the team have leveraged the momentum to orchestrate the first show with a live audience.
“We’ve gotten so much love online and we all felt it was the right time to bring the conversation to an audience and give people the chance to share their perspectives,” Josh told the publication.
The 23-year-old, who founded award-winning creative collective The Bridge Media whilst studying for his A-levels, is confident that the upcoming show is to be the first of many and hinted that the best was still to come from the ladies of show.
“I feel like we’re only just scratching the surface because I know all the ladies have a lot to offer. Considering how much content we’re able to get into a 15-minute episode, I think we all know the potential of what we have.”
