BASKETBALL STAR Stephen Curry is the latest celebrity to have his wax figure unveiled at Madame Tussauds.
The Golden State Warriors player, 28, said it was “crazy” to see himself immortalised in wax, valued at $350,000.
“I don’t know how you could actually dream about something like this,” Stephen said about seeing his likeness in wax. “You look at the detail and all that goes into a wax figure, so pretty special.”
The wax figure is on display at the Tussauds location in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf.
Stephen, his wife Ayesha and daughters Riley and Ryan posed for photos with the figure at its unveiling yesterday.
A team of artists and sculptors spent nearly four months on the sport star’s figure, taking 250 measurements of the NBA MVP and including details down to the tattoos on his wrists.
Stephen said he was amazed each hair was placed in the wax head by hand.
“The whole process from posing for like four, three hours at that position I got a lot of quad work while they did all the measurements,” he said.
