Beasts of No Nation’s Abraham Attah named tourism ambassador of Ghana

THE TEENAGE star of award-winning Netflix hit Beasts of No Nation has been made tourism ambassador of the African country.

Abraham Attah, who left his job as a street vendor to take up the life-changing role alongside Hollywood actor Idris Elba, has made “the entire nation proud,” according to Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, Ghana’s minister of tourism, culture and creative arts.

“We are proud of Abraham Attah at the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts and we think that all of us should pamper him and do our best to make sure all he has achieved takes him far,” she said in an address this week.

It’s been a great start to the year for the 14-year-old, who recently walked away with the Marcello Mastroianni Best Young Actor Award at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival and bagged a Netflix scholarship to attend school in the US.
