NFL QUARTERBACK Russell Wilson is teaming up his clothing line Good Man Brand with his Why Not You Foundation to assist inner-city education.
The 27-year-old has pledged that $3 from every Good Man Brand purchase will go to helping inner-city children all over the nation.
Russell believes this is the blueprint for how he and the foundation can begin to “make a major difference in the world”.
“I’m trying to change the way and the attitude of a culture,” he told HuffPost. “Ultimately, this brand is going to help change people’s lives.”
“We’re trying to inspire people, give back and make a culture change,” he added.
The line, he says, includes pieces that were missing from his own wardrobe.
“I had the great suits and I had the great shorts and T-shirts, but I wanted a mid-range game that I could dress up and down,” he said.
“It’s more than fashion, it’s about effecting change.” Russell emphasised, once more. “That’s what we’re really after.”
