Hood Documentary star Kayode Ewuni secures role in BBC’s Are You Being Served? revamp

ACTOR KAYODE Ewumi will star in a one-off special of hit 1970s sitcom Are You Being Served? later this year.

The 22-year-old, who rose to prominence with his online series Hood Documentary where he played the much-loved character of ‘R.S’, is the second black and minority actor to take a role in the BBC sitcom since 1985.

He will play Mr Conway, described simply as a “new member of staff” designed to help shake things up.

Hood Documentary, the mockumentary he co-created with Tyrell Williams, has helped Kayode become a huge online star and won him fans in grime stars Stormzy and Skepta.

The one-off special of Are You Being Served? will see a new cast of characters take on old favourites in a bid to recapture the magic of the original department store comedy.

The re-vamp will include a cast of notable faces, including BAFTA award-winner Jason Watkins as Mr Humphries, Matthew Horne, best known for his role in Gavin and Stacey, as Young Mr Grace and Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter as Miss Croft
