Worldwide appeal: South London rapper Stormzy headlines first show in Tokoyo



DOUBLE MOBO Award-winning rapper Stromzy has further proven his worldwide appeal after headlining his first show in Tokoyo last night (Jan 27).

The 22-year-old south London rapper played at Circus Tokyo as part of a campaign with sports giant Adidas.

“My headline show in Tokyo last night…can only thank God tbh,” he wrote on Twitter.

It’s been a week of celebrations for the history-making wordsmith after he was filmed locked into a rap ‘battle’ with US comedian Kevin Hart –compered by hip-hop pioneer Ice Cube – as the pair promoted their box office smash, Ride Along 2.

In addition, his One Take Freestyle, released on Sunday (Jan 24) has almost clocked up one million views in a matter of days.

“850,000 views!!could this do a million in a week,” he tweeted today (Jan 28).
