GRIME STAR Skepta has revealed he is building a “dream” home for his parents in Nigeria “as a thank you”.
The founder of north London collective Boy Better Know (BBK), whose parents hail from the West African country, shared a picture of the construction via his Instagram page and said he was grateful to be in a position to provide his parents with this gift.
“My parents came to England to give their children a good shot at life,” Skepta wrote.”I’m overly grateful and blessed to build this for them as a thank you.”
He explained: “We bought the land, redirected the water supply and now we’re here.”
The rapper, whose brother is fellow BBK member JME and sister Julie Adenuga, is a presenter on Apple’s Beats 1 radio station, said the picture of the house his dad had once drawn by hand, had “made my day”.
“Different, just different,” he mused.
His post came after tickets for his joint concert with brother JME at south London’s O2 Academy on December 18 sold out in just three hours.
